While in ghana, I visited the Dr Kwame Nkrumah memorial center. There is a museum, a monument, and the bodies of he and his wife. The site is dedicated to his legacy and it is a massive one. He led the fight for independence from British rule in 1957 and establish democracy in my lovely country. He also supported many other African nations to gain their independence from colonial oppression.

Throughout history there are only a small number of individual names that we will remember and even smaller amount of people that have entire monuments dedicated to them. Leaving a legacy is not optional. Some have more far reaching ones than others. But that makes ours no less significant. A smile to a stranger could impact them far more than you know. We are creating our legacy every day with every word we speak and action we take. What will yours be?

Thank you and rest in power Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. And, as always, thank you for giving me a minute of your life to think about the end of it. ⏳💜🙏🏿
