I’m in a beautiful tropical location honoring the ending of this past year. I love an ending! I’m a Death Doula and honoring endings is a pretty big part of the job description. But how do you honor an ending when that which preceded it was incredibly difficult?

People do it all the time when they grieve difficult relationships in their lives. For example, when an abusive parent dies. We all know that this human ride is not without its trouble and it is complex!

Looking at the beautiful, the devastating, the profound, the mundane, the complex and the simplicity of this human ride. How can you look back on this year honoring it for all that it was – for all that it brought you and also all that it took away?

Thank you so much for giving me a minute of your life to think about the end of it, and Happy New Year! 💜✨💀🙏🏿⏳
