You know that fat stack of paper you have somewhere in your house? It’s probably on a desk, or in a corner, or a box shoved deep in a closet. Most of us have a stack like this somewhere in our homes. That stack we keep just in case we need a document in there but that we haven’t looked at in a while except to throw more paper on it??

As a death doula, that stack of papers can be a nightmare after a death. Why? Because most of the knowledge of why that stack of paper is important dies with the person who created that stack and those of us left behind are trying to make sense of it. You can do those you love a huge favor by going through that stack of paper, checking to see if under your local laws you can get rid of the paper, or indicate why the documents are important.

Thank you on behalf of those who love you and thank you for giving me a minute of your life to think about the end of it! πŸ™πŸΏπŸ’œ
